List your business

From registration to your first deal usually takes under 48 hours, including our manual review.

Before you start

Have these ready, in any image format:

  • Business name, address, category, and contact phone.
  • Owner CNIC (front and back). We only store the last 4 digits on your profile; full images stay in private storage for verification.
  • A business registration document (registration certificate, food licence, tax certificate, or anything official with the business name and address).
  • A logo and a cover photo (optional but improves trust).

1. Sign up and choose "Business"

Create your account at /signup using WhatsApp OTP, Google, or email. After signup we ask what brings you to Surplush — pick I run a business with surplus food. That routes you into the business onboarding wizard.

2. Walk through onboarding

The wizard has five short steps:

  • Basics — business name, category, type (single location vs chain), and a short description.
  • Location — full address, city, and a BusinessMap pin so customers can find you.
  • Contact — phone number and operating hours.
  • Verification— upload the documents listed above. If you're missing one, you can file a quick support ticket from the same screen.
  • Done — submit for review.

If you close the tab partway through, we save your progress. Returning to /onboarding/business picks up where you left off.

3. Wait for approval (usually 48 hours)

Our team reviews each business manually. We may email you for clarifications — keep an eye on the inbox you signed up with. You'll see Pending reviewon your dashboard while we're looking. Drafts let you compose deals in the meantime, but nothing goes live until you're approved.

4. List your first deal

Once approved, open Business → List a deal. Fill in:

  • A clear photo of the food (required).
  • Title, description, and category.
  • Original price, Surplush price, and quantity.
  • Pickup window (start and end times).
  • Dietary tags (halal, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.).

Hit Publish listing. The deal appears on /browse immediately and your business page is live.

5. Run pickup operations

When a customer reserves a deal, you'll see it in Business → Orders. The flow is:

  • Confirm— acknowledge you've seen the order.
  • Mark ready — when the food is packed and waiting for the customer.
  • Verify pickup— enter the customer's 4-digit code at handover to close the order.
  • No-show — only available after the pickup window ends, for customers who never collected.
